Buddy Fun Day is May 24th
Skyview Elementary is seeking donations to help make its 2019 “Buddy Fun Day” a day that all students will remember for years to come! According to school teacher, Mike Munoz, “we need concessions such as flaming hot chips, wrapped candy, sodas, Ring Pops, those kinds of things.
“In order to make this event truly memorable for the kids, we would like to set up two more inflatables. The cost is around $175-$200 each so any contributions from our Town Creek neighbors would be greatly appreciated!”

Harmony Garden Update
Thanks to a thoughtful and timely donation from the Town Creek Women’s Club, Harmony Garden has three new bird feeding devices which will undoubtedly be star attractions to a variety of springtime songbirds. Dawn Cleaves, who is a Richardson ISD garden coordinator and her daughter, Kate (pictured), recently worked in the garden getting it ready for the Earth Day open house.
The Women’s Club worked closely with Joeanna Creech at the school while donating a new bird feeder pole plus the feeding devices and over 60 pounds of different types of bird food. According to club member, Jane Tucker, “we were fortunate to have help with our donation through Wild Birds Unlimited as the owner, Ron Mills, is planning additional help to Skyview in setting up the bird area.
Town Creek Women’s Club spokesperson, Judy Sebesta, said, “Obviously, this was a community-wide experience. Cooperation like this is so important to building a better Skyview and a better Town Creek.” On behalf of RISD, Dawn expressed her sincere thanks to Town Creek for this generous donation.
