You Can Be a VIP

Did you know that in addition to the Town Creek Crime Watch Program, we also have VIPs (Volunteers In Patrol)?  These programs work together towards making Town Creek safe.

VIP is a neighborhood patrol program designed to reduce crime through increased cooperation between citizens and the Dallas Police Department.  Volunteers donate their time to patrol their neighborhood.  All volunteers are trained by DPD to observe, recognize, and report suspicious or criminal activity.

This program is non-confrontational and volunteers are trained not to approach suspicious activity or persons, but to back away from the situation and if possible remain in sight and observe until the DPD responds.

Listen to Officer Kelley, Neighborhood Policing Coordinator with the Dallas Police Department, who has worked tirelessly with our neighborhood’s Crime Watch and VIP programs, describe how the programs work successfully together.
