Sprouts has been open in Lake Highlands Town Center for several months now, and the center will soon see the opening of many options to dine. Taco Diner, Mike’s Jersey Subs, Starbucks, Yogurtland, and Fish City Grill have all signed leases. If this Fish City is as popular as the Preston-Royal Lane location, expect a line out the door by 6pm. Jersey Mike’s opens December 6th.

In sad news, Offshore’s Nextdoor was forced to close as the landlord has new plans for the strip that housed it. The regulars will miss Joe at the U-shaped bar, the ahi tuna sandwich, and the shrimp po-boy.

Another closing in our area is Papa’s Crab at Skillman and Royal. The seafood restaurant opened to mixed reviews and never quite caught on. Perhaps the slightly high prices, as well as spotty service, drove folks away. Or that the rumor got out that the catfish that was actually “Swai,” a farmed Vietnamese fish that’s full of antibiotics and illegal to sell in some states.
