Neighborhood Eats

Offshore’s Nextdoor

Don’t let the rustic look fool you. This seafood spot at the SE corner of Audelia and Walnut Hill has a loyal following of neighborhood regulars.

Have a seat at the u-shaped bar and get taken care of by amiable bartender Joe, or grab one of the tables or booths. The menu offers dozens of options for the budget conscious or those looking for something a bit more finer dining. Appetizers include calamari, crab cakes, smoked salmon, onion rings, shrimp cocktail and more. Four kinds of salads, which you can add chicken, shrimp, lump crab, crawfish, or salmon to. Wide assortment of mains featuring fried seafood platters, fish burgers, po-boys, tacos, and “nicer stuff” such as rib-eye steak, pork chops, artichoke chicken, grilled salmon, jambalaya, and pasta.

Shady’s Burgers and Brewhaha

Located two doors down from Resident Taqueria at the SW corner of Audelia and Walnut Hill, this burger spot has a lively neighborhood bar vibe.

Great outdoor patio and a large selection of local craft beers, and well as wine and a full bar. Lot’s of salads choices, apps like cheese fries, wings, and nachos, and seven burger options that can be subbed with a turkey or black bean patty if that’s your thing. Non-burger eaters have a choice of sandwiches, tacos, and chicken tenders. Daily happy hour.
